It's been a super-slow week for celebrity gossip, the Jonas Brothers' wax sculptures notwithstanding, but the last thing I want to do is resort to inflating mundane celebrity stories just to fill up our pop culture blog with something entertaining.
And it's a good thing, too, because Matt Damon and his wife, Luciana Damon, just gave birth to their second baby girl, and wait'll you hear just how ridiculous this story is. I hope you're not wearing shoes, 'cause this story is going to give you a heart attack. Consider:
1) The baby just HAPPENED to be born in August of '08, just one year before the scheduled release of Damon's next movie, Margaret.
2) You know what they named the kid? Are you ready for this? Gia. That's right -- Gia. G-I-A. Good luck growin' up with that name! Might as well have just named her, like, Nicole while you were at it.
3) The baby was born Wednesday and we STILL haven't seen any pictures. Is she being grown in a lab somewhere?? Are they waiting for lightning to animate the monster? Geeez!!
4) How long was this woman pregnant, like, nine months plus or minus a week? Is she a magic elephant or something? Probably!
5) Check out this quote from Damon's publicist -- "Everyone is great and she is a healthy, beautiful baby girl." What a bitch!
6) Um.... WHOA!!! A baby!! Crazy gossip!!!!!!! Matt Damon whaaaaa?/????
...Please murder someone, Tom Cruise. Please murder Britney. Pick up Lindsay Lohan and murder Britney with her. Just, do anything, please....
