Bruce Springsteen, according to the New York Post, has signed on to play half time at Super Bowl XLIII in Tampa Bay, FL, on Feb. 1, 2009.
The Super Bowl half time show has been known to feature the hottest acts of the time. But in recent years drew some controversy from Janet Jacksons wardrobe malfunction. Which is the reason for networks no being required to have an at least 5 second delay for live performances.
To give an idea of the scale of Super Bowl. The Boss and the E-street Band are coming off a 100 performance arena tour where they played for over 2 million fans. Just the Super Bowl alone will be aired to an audience of around 40 million people.
